As haematologists have found that iron bolus infusions are only remedial in your case and are good in effect, i am inclined to think that ileum that segment of small bowel responsible for absorption is decreased or functionally defective . This may be due to small bowel syndrome of various aetiology or induced ententeropathy.History is not available whether there is continual blood loss of magnitude where replenishment otherwise would not compensate.
